A PLACE TO BELONG

More than a home. A family.

Upendo Children's Center is home to 67 children who live under our care.

We work to create an environment where children feel safe, respected, supported and encouraged to grow into confident young people.

Every child is unique. We therefore focus not only on their basic needs, but also on their education, talents, skills, relationships and dreams for the future.

We also support another 15 children through community-based care, helping provide food packages, school fees, guidance and counselling.

We believe children should have opportunities to explore their interests, develop their talents and enjoy being part of a team.

Upendo supports strong football teams for both boys and girls, encouraging teamwork, discipline, confidence and talent.

Art classes provide children with a creative space to express themselves and develop their imagination and skills.

Practical learning gives children opportunities to discover interests that can become useful skills for their future.

COMMUNITY-BASED CARE

Reaching children beyond our home.

Our work extends beyond the children who live at Upendo.

Another 15 children benefit from community-based support through food packages, school fees, guidance and counselling.

This approach allows us to reach vulnerable children within their communities while helping them access support and opportunities.
