A journey built around love and care.
Upendo Children's Center was founded by Evelyn Ingosi in 2007 in the Kawangware area of Nairobi.
What began as a response to the needs of vulnerable children grew into a community built around care, protection, education and opportunity.
In 2017, Upendo relocated to Kakamega, where the center continues to provide a safe and caring environment for children.
Today, 67 children live under Upendo's care. Another 15 children receive community-based support, including food packages, school fees, guidance and counselling.
Every child has a story of how they arrived at Upendo. Our responsibility is to help make the chapters that follow brighter, safer and full of possibility.
